Senior Clerk cum Typist – 732 vacancies

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility for RRB NTPC 2024 varies according to the post applied for. Below are the detailed criteria:
Educational Qualifications:
- Graduate-Level Posts: Candidates applying for graduate-level posts such as Station Master, Goods Train Manager, and Senior Clerk cum Typist must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institution.
- Undergraduate-Level Posts: For posts like Junior Clerk cum Typist and Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, candidates must have completed Class 12 or its equivalent from a recognized board.
Age Limit
- For Graduate-Level Posts: Candidates should be between 18 to 36 years as of 1st January 2024.
- For Undergraduate-Level Posts: Candidates should be between 18 to 33 years as of 1st January 2024.
There is age relaxation which is - For SC/ST candidates: 5 years
- For OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates: 3 years
- For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years
Selection Process

Computer-Based Test (CBT-1):

General Intelligence and Reasoning - Marking Scheme: Each correct answer awards 1 mark with negative marking which is 1/3rd of the mark for every wrong answer.
Computer-Based Test (CBT-2):
- Number of Questions: 120 questions
- Duration: 90 minutes

Mathematics
General Intelligence and Reasoning - Marking Scheme: Similar to CBT-1, with negative marking of 1/3rd per wrong answer.
Typing Skill Test / Aptitude Test (Only for specific posts):
Candidates applying for posts like Junior Clerk and Senior Clerk will need to qualify a Typing Skill Test, which requires them to type at a speed of 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi.
For posts such as Goods Train Manager and Station Master, an Aptitude Test will be conducted to assess specific skills relevant to the job.
Document Verification:
Candidates who clear the CBTs and skill/aptitude tests will be called for document verification. At this stage, they must present original copies of all required certificates, including educational qualifications, caste/category certificates, and more.
Medical Examination:
Finally, all selected candidates must undergo a medical fitness test to ensure they meet the prescribed medical standards required for the specific post.
Salary Structure

- Goods Train Manager: Rs. 29,200 per month + allowances

Undergraduate-Level Posts Salary:
- Junior Clerk cum Typist: Rs. 19,900 per month + allowances
